I believe you can take control of your health and reach your goals by understanding the "why" of your diagnosis, symptoms, and struggles through a root cause approach.
I have found my passion in helping others help themselves through addressing my own health issues that started literally when I was born (gastroschisis) and not fully addressed until my early 20s.
I have made it my life goal to help others through their difficult diagnosis' and health battles to reach their goals, as I never want someone to feel alone or not heard as I did from conventional allopathic practices.
Since starting my health journey in 2013, I have reached many goals, with several still on the list. Healing starts from within, and understanding your body can make it easier to make lifelong habits to improve your health.
I am a Registered Dietitian with a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition and a certified integrative health coach. I have been humbled by impacting thousands of patients' lives over my 8+ year journey in becoming a nutrition professional.
As you are aware, nutrition advice has gone rampant with social media, which is confusing and harmful if not approached in a personalized manner. The science behind nutrition is constantly changing, and even I can get overwhelmed by the influx of knowledge.
Still, with my experience and knack for reading research articles and writing papers, I aim to break it down so you can get the most out of changing your diet, behaviors, habits, and, ultimately, your health.
Are you:
Have you ever tried a fad diet, strict meal plan, cleanse, or 30-day challenge that left you hungry, frustrated, confused, or dissatisfied with the results?
If you answered yes, then working with a nutrition professional can be a start in understanding how diet and lifestyle can be a significant factor in results that have lasting benefits!
We will address the root cause, whether we are viewing your genetics, blood work, personal health history, daily intake, and routine, to find balance in long-term changes that fit your needs.
Trying to balance work, life, and day-to-day responsibilities while making nutritional changes that may be foreign to you can be overwhelming, so finding balance and starting with realistic goals can be a game changer!
I find resistance exercise, tai chi, qi gong, and walking fit best with my needs and lifestyle. During my multiple abdominal surgeries, I found it challenging to find a regimen that I could stay with and also "level up" in my workouts.
It is important to find an activity you can incorporate into your daily habits and that you enjoy, even if it can get challenging.
I found Qi Gong and Tai Chi while teaching nutrition education in Indonesia, and I was grateful to find AMAZING Sifu Masters when I returned to the States. As a beginner, I have been blessed with unmatched knowledge from my Sifu, which has forever changed my view of health and wellness with gratitude and respect. I highly recommend Martial Zen in Tulsa, Oklahoma, if you are serious about starting your journey in Martial Arts.
